Applications

Concrete plant questions instead of abstract feature lists.

JC-Technology focuses on situations where temperature, current, vibration or machine states should not be evaluated in isolation. The examples below show typical starting points, suitable solution directions and practical value.

The examples describe possible applications, not proven customer deployments. Suitability depends on sensors, data recording and plant conditions. ThermalDIAG and ThermalDIAG Analytics are in the test and validation phase. IPC selection for ThermalDIAG is ongoing; prices and the final licensing and deployment model have not yet been defined.

Typical starting points

When a trend, an alarm or a plant condition needs to become explainable.

Motor, bearing or gearbox becomes abnormal

Problem: Temperature or vibration changes only under certain loads, cycles or switching states.

Solution: ThermalDIAG records temperature, phase current, vibration metrics, digital enables and events in the same project context.

Value: The evaluation is based on the actual thermal, electrical and mechanical trend before, during and after the anomaly.

Control cabinet or terminal shows thermal anomalies

Problem: A connection, terminal or component heats up irregularly.

Solution: Thermal image data can be combined with current, load or switching states and documented with incidents and tickets when needed.

Value: Maintenance and operators get a better basis for inspection, prioritisation and evidence.

PV inverter, DC distribution or battery storage

Problem: Thermal changes need to be viewed together with operating state, load and switching information.

Solution: ThermalDIAG brings relevant temperatures, digital states and analog measurement signals together in one local system.

Value: Anomalous operating phases can be examined in the history and can be documented with timestamps, measurements and reports.

Cooling, fan or pump operation

Problem: A process gets too warm, but the cause and sequence of changes are not clear.

Solution: Temperature curves, digital status signals and analog process values are visualised together.

Value: It becomes easier to see whether temperature, enable signal, flow, load or another state changed first.

Rare or cyclic fault

Problem: The fault appears rarely or cannot be reproduced reliably on site.

Solution: ThermalDIAG records data; ThermalDIAG Analytics can later examine historical time ranges and rule variants.

Value: The analysis uses existing data without forcing the fault to occur again.

Alarm rule reacts too early, too late or too often

Problem: An alarm does not fit the real plant behaviour well enough.

Solution: In ThermalDIAG Analytics, a rule variant can be applied locally to previous data.

Value: Thresholds, hold times or filters can be prepared before a new rule is deliberately released.

Rule-based functional or endurance test

Problem: During a test, actuation, feedback, cycles and measurements need to remain traceably connected.

Solution: A rule can trigger a prepared digital output, check one or two limit switches within a time window, count cycles and record temperature, current or vibration together.

Value: It remains traceable how long a component operates within its expected range and under which conditions a deviation occurs.

Boundary: The rule function does not replace a PLC, real-time control or safety controller.

Individual measurement or integration task

Problem: An existing process needs a special interface, measurement logic or customer-specific evaluation.

Solution: JC-Technology develops embedded and industrial software, interfaces and tools for the specific task.

Value: The solution follows the real plant context instead of a rigid standard product.

Quick test

Find the causes of faults. Detect anomalies early.

From €3,000 excl. VAT

Targeted measurements help narrow down possible causes of faults and assess the condition of your machines more accurately.

What is included:

The price depends on the number of machines and sensors and the installation effort required. You will receive an individual quotation in advance. Travel expenses are itemised separately and agreed in advance.

Enquire about a quick test

Non-binding enquiry. You will receive an individual quotation after we jointly clarify the scope of the investigation.

Next step

Do you have a specific plant issue?

Briefly describe the plant, observed condition and desired result. We first assess technical feasibility; possible next steps can then be discussed.
