Thermal risk analysis and automated tests for specific technical questions.

JC-Technology can install temporary measurement and test systems, capture thermal images and measurements, monitor temperature, signal and operating states and summarize the results in clear technical reports. From quick diagnostics to multi-day endurance tests.

Focus areas

Measurement and diagnostic projects that can start without a large system project.

The entry point can stay small: quick diagnostics, a thermal risk analysis, a short test or temporary monitoring over defined hours, days or weeks.

Batteries and charging areas

Battery and Charging Area Thermal Monitoring

For e-bike charging rooms, tool battery charging areas, company charging areas, residential buildings, hotels, schools or PV battery storage systems. Thermal anomalies, charging states, temperature trends and risk indicators become visible and traceable.

  • Thermal image capture and measurement point documentation.
  • Temporary or stationary monitoring possible.
  • Temperature thresholds, digital inputs, relay contacts and alarm states.
  • Report as a technical decision basis for operators, maintenance or risk assessment.

Test and diagnostics

Automated Functional, Load and Endurance Tests

For troubleshooting, load tests, wear tests and prototype validation. Components are operated over defined periods, cycles or load states. Temperature, digital and analog signals, Modbus data, current, voltage and optional vibration are measured, evaluated and summarized in a report.

  • Quick diagnostics for concrete failure patterns.
  • Short tests over hours or defined cycles.
  • Multi-day or multi-week endurance tests.
  • Digital I/O signals, analog measurements, Modbus and counters.
  • Current and voltage measurement depending on the test task.
  • Optional extension with vibration measurement.

Electrical systems and energy

Thermal Risk Analysis for Control Cabinets, PV and Inverters

Control cabinets, distribution boards, fuses, relays, contactors, inverters, DC distribution, connectors and battery storage systems are inspected thermographically and documented in a traceable way. The goal is a clear overview of thermal anomalies and possible next steps.

  • Thermographic inspection under real operating conditions.
  • Structured documentation with thermal images and comments.
  • Assessment of anomalies by urgency.
  • Recommendation for repeat inspection, repair, endurance test or monitoring.

Temporary installation

Temporary Monitoring System

If a condition cannot be explained by a short snapshot, a temporary measurement system can be installed for hours, days or weeks. Temperature trends, signals, cycles, alarms and events are recorded automatically.

  • IPC-based measurement and monitoring installation.
  • FLIR AX8 or other suitable sensor technology depending on the task.
  • Digital and analog signals, Modbus, counters and events.
  • Evidence reports and export of relevant data.

Examples

Typical test and diagnostic objects

Relay and switching cycles, motor/actuator tests, pneumatic components, gate and flap drives, electronics prototypes, IoT devices, chargers or customer-specific assemblies.

The goal is not the largest possible standard platform, but a suitable measurement setup for a concrete technical question.

PoC and feasibility

When a technical idea first needs to be proven in practice.

For new measurement, diagnostic or automation ideas, JC-Technology can build a small, testable proof of concept: select available hardware, connect sensors, cameras or interfaces, develop the base software and evaluate the results in a traceable way.

  • Feasibility testing with available hardware instead of a long preliminary study.
  • Hardware-oriented software for data acquisition, control logic, visualization and reports.
  • Industrial interfaces, Modbus, TCP/IP, MQTT, digital/analog signals and local databases.
  • Optional image processing, logging, trend analysis and non-invasive energy observation.

Process

From a concrete suspicion to a solid basis for decisions.

1. Clarify question and measurement goal
Which component, charging area, operating state or failure pattern should be investigated?
2. Define measurement or test setup
Depending on the task, thermal camera, temperature sensors, digital/analog signals, Modbus, current/voltage measurement or counters are included.
3. Measure, test and log
The measurement runs as quick diagnostics, short test, endurance test or temporary monitoring. Anomalies, events and measurements are logged in a structured way.
4. Report and next step
The report summarizes observations, measurements, risk indicators and recommended next steps: repair, repeat inspection, longer test or stationary monitoring.

Positioning

Technical early indication, not a fire protection guarantee.

Battery and charging area thermal monitoring does not replace a fire protection concept or a safety inspection. It provides thermal early indication, documented risk indicators and a technical decision basis for operators, maintenance and risk assessment.

Note: Thermal inspections document the thermal condition at the time of measurement and under the existing operating conditions. They do not replace an electrical safety inspection, a fire protection assessment or a complete risk analysis.
